Summer is over, the Fall is here, and so are the Holidays. This is always my favorite time of year here in San Clemente. The beaches and trails are not crowded, weather is nice, and everyone is getting into the Holiday spirit. November is packed with things to go see and do.

If you are looking for a new way to release tightness in your body, you have to go try one of Kim’s classes – Our November Client spotlight YBR Fitness with Kim Fitzgerald. Kim and The YB helped me while I was pregnant and had terrible SI Joint pain, she rolled me out and sent me home with a program to do on my own. My pain was gone in a week and never came back, I was able to get back to my regular pregnancy routine and now my baby also has a fun ball to play with.

Have you started your Christmas shopping? Are you trying to find that perfect gift for someone but tired of giving the same thing over and over? Adrift driftwood has a lot great unique creations. And it’s all from our local beaches. Check out our Community Spotlight this month….and her blog is great too.

We are very fortunate here in San Clemente that we get to enjoy our November and the beginning of the Holiday season, where the East Coast is not as lucky. “Sandy” was a very destructive storm that has left many with nothing. If you are looking for ways to help out victims of Sandy, Coast to Coast – surfers for supplies is a group that will help coordinate efforts to gather supplies and get them back to the people who need them most. Read more about how you can help here.

Let’s remember this Thanksgiving to be thankful we still have our nice little town and a home to go home to. Our thoughts and prayers here at SCWD go out to all the people and their families that were affected by the storm.

Santa is coming to town Sat Nov 24th to downtown San Clemente. Puttin on the Glitz is a shopping, dining and entertainment experience! The event is from 5-9pm and is fun for kids of all ages. There is a parade that will kick off the event where Santa will be riding on a Fire truck down Del Mar street. Santa will then be taking pictures at “Santas Workshop” in front of the community center. You can read more information about Puttin on the Glitz here.

Have a safe and happy Holiday!
